Hiking in Gif-sur-Yvette: a bilingual break in the heart of nature
Recently, the International Club of Paris offered a green getaway to Gif-sur-Yvette, a charming town nestled in the heart of the Chevreuse Valley. Around twenty participants, representing nine nationalities, responded to the call of this hike, which was all about language exchange, conviviality… and fresh air!

True to the Club’s spirit, the walk combined physical activity with intercultural discovery. The approximately 10 km route alternated between wooded paths, sunny trails, and panoramic viewpoints. But that’s not all: the hike was also bilingual! The first part of the walk was conducted in English, the second in French. This unique approach allowed everyone to participate in an informal and supportive environment.

Walking, talking, progressing together: this is the credo of these walks that combine well-being, learning, and human connection. In a cheerful atmosphere, conversations flowed along the path, with everyone contributing to the richness of the exchanges.

Thank you to everyone who shared this wonderful day with us! Your smiles, your curiosity, and your openness are the strength of our community.
