French-Spanish linguistic exchange workshop
The International Club of Paris organizes a French-Spanish conversation and language exchange workshop twice a month. In a multicultural and friendly atmosphere, and with conversation topics chosen by the participants, this is an opportunity for everyone to improve their French and Spanish, regardless of their language level or mother tongue.
Why a French-Spanish workshop?
Each session offers a balanced bilingual immersion, with a first hour in Spanish and a second in French, in the spirit of a language tandem.
All levels are welcome. Mistakes are part of the learning process.
We foster a warm and multicultural atmosphere in small groups. Everyone can progress in the language they wish to master while helping others in their native language or the one they know best.
Everyone contributes by practicing, suggesting topics, listening, and encouraging others. To enrich the discussions, consider preparing a few varied discussion topics to share; your ideas stimulate the group and enrich the conversation.
Evening Schedule
Participants must arrive promptly at 7:30 p.m. to confirm attendance and form conversation groups.
Discussions last two hours, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Participation in both languages is mandatory for the entire two hours, ensuring a smooth and balanced immersion in both languages.
Our volunteers will welcome and facilitate the evening, providing guidance, suggestions for discussion, and constructive feedback throughout the evening.
To support our hosting venue, it is essential to order at least one drink upon arrival, before starting the workshop. (Drinks starting at €2)
Practical information
The workshop is free for members (annual fee: €20).
Trial session for non-members: €5.
Late booking for members (starting Tuesday): €5.
It is recommended to book at least two days before the workshop date, as space is limited.
Walk-in: €10 payable on site, in cash.
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Workshop address: Tea Room of the Mosque of Paris: 39, rue Geoffroy St Hilaire, 75005 Paris.
Metro: Jussieu (lines 10 or 7) or Place Monge (line 7).
Upon arrival, head to the covered terrace. It’s the large open room on the left as you enter (see photos below). Look for the tables with the Meetup / International Club of Paris sign. If you have any problems, you can call one of the on-site volunteers.
