Excursions

As part of the cultural discoveries offered by the Club International des Jeunes à Paris, the association organises numerous excursions all over France throughout the year. The club invites its members to visit the most beautiful regions of France and Europe at very reasonable prices. Here’s the list of the next excursions:

PROVINS
Saturday the 9th of December 2017

Come discover Provins, the medieval city that has not changed much since the time when the merchants came from all over Europe for the Champagne Fairs.
The high town, surrounded by ramparts, built in the12th and13th centuries, and wonderfully preserved, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Tower of Caesar dominates the city, such as the church, the barn of Tithes, the underground, as well as numerous squares filled with charming half-timbered houses, craft shops and traditional restaurants.

Need a change of scene or passionate about history?
The Club International des Jeunes à Paris invites you to Champagne. There will be a visit to Reims, city of art and history, classed among the UNESCO world heritage sites (Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Royal Square, Saint Rémy Basilica). Discover Epernay, with the famous Champagne De Castellane cellars where a guided tour will reveal the various stages in the making of a good champagne:

Visit Giverny and Auvers sur Oise and spend the day immersed in the colours of the impressionist painters. ROUEN, HONFLEUR AND THE NORMANDY COAST'S

THE ABBEYS ROAD IN THE ILE DE FRANCE REGION

We will visit the largest Cistercian abbey in Ile-de-France, Royaumont, rich by both of its history and of its architecture. D-Day beaches and Mont Saint Michel

Join us for a special D-Day tour to discover the region of Normandy. We will visit the famous Pointe du Hoc, the American military cemetery of Colleville-sur-mer. Then, we will head to Arromanches and later on, we will visit the Caen memorial. The next morning, our first stop is the Mont St Michel. We will visit a biscuit manufacturer offering tasters before discovering the abbey and the village of Mont Saint Michel.

After visiting the charming town of Honfleur, birthplace of impressionist painting, we’ll discover the secrets of Calvados production while visiting a traditional distillery followed by a tasting. In Caen, our evening will begin with a festive dinner followed by a Salsa lesson and danse evening. The next day, we’ll visit Caen, capital of the Dukes of Normandy with its castle and Men’s Abbey. We’ll then head for Cabourg, magnificent seaside resort, for an afternoon of relaxation and swimming!
